Amazing "soft touch" management. Well kept site, level and well drained.
Lovely place to stay, quiet and secluded spot
Fiona and Bryan welcomed us and showed us around on arrival
The log caravan was fitted out with everything you needed, with some lovely homely touches.
Lovely CL offering everything I need / want. Pretty, very well kept and good welcome.
Woodhall Spa, Horncastle and Tattersall within about 5 miles with their individual attractions. Site is also more than nice enough to get your chairs out and enjoy.
Had 2 nights at poplar farm its a real gem lovely walks from site with my 3 dogs and they loved swimming in the stream. Nice pub serving lovely food only 500 yard from site. lovely owner's very welcoming and easy going which made us feel very relaxed we will be booking a 9 night stay when we get home to work some dates out.
Fiona was very welcoming and we really enjoyed our 2 night stay. Pub only 7 minutes walk plus very easy to drive to,Woodhall Spa,Tattershall and Coningsby. I also put a review on,Search for Sites including photos as that is how we found the site.
We used Poplar Farm as a convenient overnight stay before we played golf at Woodhall Spa tha following day, only 3 miles away.
Owners very welcoming, Fiona introduced herself to us on arrival and explained where everything was. She has lots of good local advice too regarding walks, shop etc. Pitches are good sized, pitch 5 having both water and grey water drain. Love the little chalk stream that runs along the side of the field behind the small fence. On our departure day Fiona even came over to say goodbye which we have never had at any site before. This added touch made the stay even better, like we were really welcome.
It is a lovely place, the local town was gorgeous with a fantastic cafe, The ebbrington arms is just literally a two minute walk, the food was very good. I was a bit disapointed because i was expecting a log cabin and really it was a caravan in a log cabin coat! but it was never described as a log cabin so thats my mistake. Overall a very enjoyable stay
We have been here lots of times and we absolutely love it. The owners Fiona and Bryan are lovely.

Lovely campsite very welcoming and friendly hosts. Will definitely go back.
Immaculately kept site with a few quirky garden 'ornaments' to make you smile!
Lots of aviation museums/airfields nearby as is the excellent Tattershall Castle. And don't miss a visit to the Kinema in the Woods, at Woodhall Spa!
Just home from an amazing 4 day break at Poplar Lodge Log Cabin, in this really hot weather sitting outside with a glass of wine with the sun dappling between the poplar trees , cool breeze from the river and beyond to the open fields., …
We had a wonderful break in this cabin. It was such a joy to be there. We've recommend it to friends and will continue to tell people, as it was fabulous. Also the couple that were there were lovely and ever so helpful. I really want to go back and stay here again.
We stayed in a cosy cabin equipped with everything you need for a holiday getaway. It is right next to the river with wildlife galore and yet peaceful and relaxing. Local walks are immediately to be found and don’t tax older limbs. Will definitely come again
What a fantastic caravan site, everything a CL should be, easy access takes you a to secluded, well manicured flat lawn surrounded by rugged privacy hedging, the pitches are very well spaced with plenty of room for all, some alongside the river, all south facing with ample fresh water taps/grey waste disposal. The site is a few minutes walk to a local village with dog friendly pub or 5 min drive to Horncastle for all your shopping needs, set in the stunning Lincolnshire countryside, the hosts are very welcoming and love to share their knowledge of this area with you. Already booked to return, if your coming to this area you’d be crazy not to book your pitch here.
Nice little place lots of places to visit in the area
Thank you Fiona & Bryan for your friendliness at your peaceful CL site in a most convenient location. Patricia & I enjoyed our river walks during our four nights with you. Look forward to seeing the log cabin completed on our next visit. Take care. Roy & Patricia.
We cycle , walk and like the pubs within a short walk. Site level electric water. riverside location, nice welcome on arrival. The refuse and emptying all together in a very tidy spot.
Just spent 3 nights here. Lovely site. Grass pitches and electric hook ups. Lots of space and quiet. Owners were lovely and very helpful. Will definitely be back 😊
Relaxing weekend, great place to relax on this corner of Lincolnshire close to Woodhall Spa.
Lovely place nice and quiet ,Fiona and Brian very helpful will be back very soon highly recommend this place
Gem of a site, we shall certainly be returning. Given a warm welcome by the owners who were happy to help us when we had a problem with our caravan step! Lovely peaceful location, flat ground (always a bonus!) for our caravan which we sited right next to the river and the pitches are not near one another, there is plenty of space. Felt very relaxed after our stay and enjoyed the pub just down the road The Ebrington Arms lovely food and welcome there too. Highly recommend.
Stayed for 3 nights pitch 1
Nice spacious grass pitch with hook up
Good tv reception with booster
Take low voltage kettle we boiled our water on cooker
Nice quiet location nearest village kirby on bain
Nice clean site friendly owners
Will visit again
Good price!
Lovely site with some nice river walks , just what we wanted
Good cl if you like river fishing. Grate pub in village .can be a bit of noise from road first thing and we had good dark sky
Lovely place to stay, quiet and welcoming, hosts very friendly and helpful, definitely stay here again
Lovely little cl, no facilities but grass level and welldrained. Alan area very clean. Beautiful river behind, plenty of birds, including kingfisher.
Easy access from main road and very friendly welcome to this site. Lovely countryside around and ideal for cycling. Some footpaths adjacent to site but possible to walk to Woodhall Spa with combination of footpaths and grass verges beside the road. Some road noise noticeable, especially early morning. Levellers needed. Easy access to water points and EHU. A good
I can only say the same as all the other reviewers this is my kind of site. easy journey and access to site, very warm welcome from Fi and Bryan, everything that is required is there. good dog walks on door step and lovely quiet lanes to cycle on. good pub down the road and woodall spa and horncastle only a few miles away. I can see we will have to plan well in advance to stay here again, this is a beautifully well run cl- just how we like them.
Our first visit to poplar farm. A warm welcome from the owners. A very peaceful location Lovely walks with the dogs and close to Woodhall Spa
We have a large motorhome ,this site while grassed it is Good firm standing , we stood five nights through some heavy weather with no wheels settling into the ground. Moving off was as easy as any hard standing. Thanks to our hosts Fiona and Brian. B & N Romano.
Thank you to Fiona & Bryan for a friendly & welcoming CL site. This was our first visit & will not be our last, it’s very well maintained. There are some lovely river side walks straight from the site. My husband likes to go fishing he was able to do this again straight from the site, while sat in the sun knitting yes we had some lovely weather, it’s been a very relaxing holiday it’s a shame it had to
Great CL, welcoming & helpful owners, mindful of hygiene measures with regular disinfecting of gate handles, taps and pods etc. Lovely walks direct from the site, alongside the river. Recommend a visit.
We spent 3 nights here just after lock down and it was lovely. The site is well kept and easily accessible. The owners Fiona and Bryan were lovely and welcoming. The ground was well drained even though we'd had rain. We will definitely be coming again. The local pub wasnt open until a couple of weeks later which we're told does lovely foo
What a lovey place to stay. We had a warm welcome and pitched up right next to the little river which had a gated path down to a cute little seat next to the clear running water of the river Bain. There are loads of walks available and we even ventured to the Alpaca farm where we also received a very warm welcome and even got to meet and walk with the alpacas. Such a beautiful area to vist. This is a very well maintained site and it had everything we needed. There is no site loo or shower which suits us just fine. The bin and waste area is kept nice and clean. It really is a delight. We certainly will visit again in the future because we love this area and the Pub was closed on this occasion (Covid) so we have to come back to try it out.
The site has recently been taken over by new owners Fiona and Bryan, who were very friendly and helpful. This is a very peaceful, adult only site with EHU and water convenient to all pitches. The grass was a bit weedy, but there are improvements planned. The site is great for riverside walks, including to Kirkby on Bain village, which has a great pub (booking recommended for meals). Woodhall Spa is well worth a visit for a range of independent shops, as is Horncastle for antique shops.
This CL at Poplar Farm is a great place to unwind, this is our third stay here, we like it here because there are public footpaths directly from the site in all directions and good for dog walking. Water taps and electric hookup points are conveniently placed and well spaced pitches. Recycling and waste points are discreetly screened off . Woodhall Spa is only a few minutes drive down the road with its famous Kinema in the Woods , a vintage cinema with tremendous character and Tea Rooms near by. The public house in the village is only a few minutes walk, Ebrington Arms has a good selection of craft beers and the food is very good too. Advice is to book a table at weekends as not to disappoint. Very friendly owners and always welcoming, thanks once again.
Just back from a fabweek at Poplar Farm, excellent site with everything you need. lovely dog walks by site and great lanes for cycling.we will be back very soon, many thanks Fi and Bryan xx
Lovely friendly owners Fiona and Brian made us feel very welcome, it’s a well kept site £13 a night with electric. Good pub within walking distance which we can recommend. We shall visit again it’s only 20 mins from where we live but it’s a different world no matter how near or far.on pitch 1.
